A “Clède” is the place where our ancestors used to dry chestnuts. They kept a fire going below and they would go through the splits of the floor.

The chesnuts were laid over the chestnut floor and stayed there for about three weeks. The blackened beams remind us of its former activity.

We turned this “clede” into a rustic bedroom with a mix of wood and stone. Upstairs, there is a bedroom with a double bed and downstairs a small bathroom with toilets.

This room, separated from the others, is located in the inside courtyard and has its own little terrace.
